A staff member conducts medical office site evaluations upon receipt of an executed (signed and dated) provider contract or within 60 business days after a provider’s initial credentialing cycle. Following the initial credentialing process, medical office site evaluations are conducted to address deficiencies, adverse events, member complaints and/or grievances. Peoples Health does not conduct medical office site evaluations at recredentialing.
- The credentialing team examines the scoring results
- The results are entered into the Provider Site Survey Database, which is available to the credentialing division of the network development department.
- The chief medical officer oversees the process of notifying the provider of deficient results.
- If deficiencies are present, the network development team will develop a corrective action plan and include it with the copy of the results mailed to the provider. If requested by the chief medical officer, the site is resurveyed within 30 days of implementation of the corrective action plan.
